What is Statsroom analysis?
Statsroom provides objective swimming performance analysis at selected competitions across the UK.
Race performances are filmed and analysed to provide swimmers with detailed performance data beyond the information available from their official race result.
What information can I receive?
The information included depends on the analysis package and race distance selected.
Depending on your purchase, this may include:
Race splits.
Stroke rate.
Stroke count.
Breakout times and distances.
Turn performance.
Underwater performance.
Other race specific performance measurements.
Full details of the data included in each package can be found on the relevant analysis page.
Who can purchase analysis?
Swimmers aged 18 or over at the competition can purchase analysis for themselves.
For swimmers under 18, an individual booking must be made by their parent or legal guardian.
Swimming clubs can also arrange analysis separately with Statsroom for their swimmers.
When can I book?
Bookings open in advance of each competition that Statsroom is attending.
The booking deadline will be displayed on the relevant competition preview page and online bookings will normally close the day before the competition begins.
Statsroom may be able to accept additional bookings in person at the competition, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
Analysis must be booked before the relevant race takes place.
Can I book more than one race?
Yes.
You can purchase analysis for multiple races at the same competition.
You can also choose the analysis package you would like for each eligible race.
Can I book analysis for a final?
Yes.
If a swimmer qualifies for a final, additional race analysis may be booked directly with Statsroom at the competition.
Finals bookings are subject to availability and must be made before the final takes place.
What happens if the swimmer withdraws from the race?
If the swimmer withdraws or does not start a race that you have purchased analysis for, you will receive a full refund for that race.
If you purchased several races and the swimmer only withdraws from one, the remaining bookings will continue as normal.
What happens if the swimmer is disqualified?
A disqualification does not automatically prevent Statsroom from completing the analysis.
If the swimmer completed the race, the performance can normally still be analysed and may still provide useful performance information.
If you speak to Statsroom at the competition following a disqualification, we may be able to arrange a transfer or refund for that event. If no request is made during the competition, the analysis will continue as booked and the normal cancellation and refund terms will apply.
What happens if Statsroom cannot analyse my race?
Statsroom reviews footage before beginning detailed analysis.
If the footage does not allow enough reliable data to be collected to complete the analysis to an acceptable standard, you will be offered:
A full refund for the affected analysis.
A transfer to another eligible race where available.
Statsroom will never knowingly make up unreliable performance data simply to complete a report.
How long will it take to analyse my race?
Your completed analysis will be delivered electronically within 14 days after the competition has finished.
Statsroom aims to complete analysis sooner wherever possible.
What should I do if I think something in my analysis is incorrect?
Contact Analysis Support through out contact page within 14 days of receiving your completed analysis.
Statsroom can review the relevant measurement against the original race footage and correct the report if an error is identified.
Is the race footage included?
Yes.
A copy of the race footage used for your analysis is available at no additional cost.
Race footage is not automatically sent with your analysis and must be requested separately after the competition through the Request Footage form.
How do I request my race footage?
After the competition has finished, complete the Request Footage form on the Statsroom website.
You will be asked to provide:
Your full name.
The email address used when booking.
The swimmer's full name.
Your receipt/order number.
Confirmation that you are authorised to request and receive the footage and that the information provided is accurate.
Once your request has been verified, your footage can be provided alongside your completed analysis.
Why can I see other swimmers in my race footage?
Statsroom needs to capture a sufficient area of the pool to produce accurate performance data. Lane ropes and other areas of the pool provide important visual reference points during analysis.
As a result, other competitors may naturally appear within your race recording.
Race footage may include swimmers under 18, so please consider the privacy of other swimmers before sharing or publishing your copy.
How long does Statsroom keep race footage?
Original race footage is permanently deleted 30 days after your completed analysis has been delivered.
If you would like a copy, make sure you submit your Request Footage request before this period ends.
Does Statsroom keep my previous analysis?
Statsroom may retain completed analysis reports and performance data for up to three years.
This allows your previous Statsroom analyses to form a performance history and potentially be used to compare your own performances over time.
Can I share my race analysis with my coach?
Yes.
You are welcome to share your completed analysis with your swimming coach or other people involved in your development.
Does Statsroom provide coaching advice?
No.
Statsroom provides objective performance data rather than coaching advice.
The purpose of the analysis is to give swimmers a clearer understanding of what happened within their performance. How that information is subsequently used within training or competition can be discussed with their coach.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes.
You can cancel your booking and receive a full refund until bookings close for the relevant competition.
Once bookings have closed, change of mind refunds will not normally be available.
Withdrawals, DNSs, cancelled events and situations where Statsroom cannot complete an analysis are handled separately under the refund arrangements in our Terms & Conditions.
How will I receive a refund?
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used when making the booking.
Where can I find Statsroom at the competition?
Statsroom normally films from the spectator gallery or another suitable filming position at the venue.
Details specific to each competition may be shared through Statsroom's website and social media before the event.
Can my club host Statsroom at one of their competitions?
Yes.
We're interested in working with clubs and competition organisers throughout the season.
Visit our Contact page and select Host Club Enquiry to get in touch.
